PHOTOS COMPLIMENTS OF DRISCOLL OTTO

Elm fork was open for Skeet, Trap, 5-Stand and had a 6 station sporting course set up. They had a Jon boat and trolling motor to get out to load the incomer on the five stand. Wish I had gotten a picture of that.  They are doing a great job and everybody was smiling despite the challenges. [Driscoll Otto]

To All of Our Oilfield Shooters,

We recently sat down with Scott Robertson to ask him about the damages and resultant financial losses he suffered at Elm Fork as a result of the recent flooding problems which have plagued all of Texas.

We knew that he had experienced some serious flooding issues but had no real idea just how bad it was -- he is going to experience tremendous personal losses as a result of the flooding and is going to be hit a staggering blow financially.  True to the type of person that Scott is, he will not complain about the hardships he is experiencing now or ask anyone for help.

He has been a real friend to the oilfield, however, and has risked a lot (both capital and hard work) to provide our community a really great place to shoot and to socialize.  He has turned Elm Fork into a top-flight shooting establishment and one that is very convenient to most of us in the Dallas area, and he has been a good friend to a lot of us.

We have talked to many of our group already, and the opinion that we would like to do something for Scott and for Elm Fork is pretty much unanimous.

We would like to set up a sporting clays tournament at Elm Fork on a Thursday afternoon in the Fall, charging $600.00 per team with sponsorships available and all of the proceeds going to Elm Fork.  These funds would be utilized to repair the road going into the club and to repair/replace the throwers lost and damaged on the Woods course.  These two things are probably going to cost Scott around $25,000.00, and we would love to be able to help him with this.

We continue to be amazed and thrilled with our industry -- the way that we all work together to help one another work more safely and efficiently, to share experiences, and to have fun together doing almost anything.  We would like to be able to show Scott and his family first hand just what a great bunch of folks that we really are and help out a true friend here in a time of need.

Please come out and join us for this worthy event at Elm Fork on Thursday, September 20th – it will be a fun shoot with 4-man teams and good food and will benefit all of us in the long run.
