Level one of a three tier progressive program. We hesitate to use the word basic to describe this introduction to defensive handgun use. During the daylight hours, we will cover techniques to be used at night such as: flashlight techniques, use of cover, loading, malfunctions, presentations, movement and search techniques. The night portion will be a practical application of the skills taught during the daylights hours. Equipment needed for class: 2-day format - 600 rounds, pistol, flashlight, spare, batteries and bulbs, proper leather gear, eye (clear) and ear protection, hat or cap, proper clothing. 3-day format will require 1000 rounds.

Equipment for the class: Shotgun, sling, eye and ear protection, suitable clothing, knee and elbow protection, 250 bird shot, 100 buck shot, 25 slug.
